Are you based in or near Birmingham? Great news! You can join in with the Big Sew Off fun at the Birmingham hub run by Lauren Guthrie at her gorgeous Guthrie & Ghani shop!
From 10am to 10pm on Monday 4th September Lauren and the g&g team will be hosting an open sewing studio event at the Guthrie & Ghani shop that is themed around sewing with stretch fabrics. It’s the perfect opportunity to learn a few tricks about sewing with knit fabrics, whilst contributing to The Big Sew Off efforts to raise money for mental health charity Mind.
All garments made on the day will then be donated to a local charity in Birmingham/The Midlands to provide lovingly made clothes to people in need, so your sewing efforts will have a double positive effect.
And as if all of that wasn’t exciting enough, Lauren Tedstone from this year’s Great British Sewing Bee, will be joining the Birmingham hub on the day of The Big Sew Off!
